The Program The Certification Program Training is for those desiring to be certified in their work environment and seek to
be recognized for their work in Applied Ethics and seeking to become professional practitioners.
Among the attributes an individual
should possess is considerable experience and a developing expertise in the field already. In order to
be best prepared for it, individuals should be able to demonstrate through verifiable experience a current
proficiency in training in applied ethics applications. Those who do not possess such practical skills will be frustrated
by the requirement to be both objective and understanding of those who do not quite measure up in the areas of personal
moral development. Simply put, your understanding may not be their understanding and although you can understand their position,
they may never understand yours unless you help them bridge that gap.
Pragmatic ethical training
is neither clear cut, nor black and white. Solutions are often murky and require considerable critical thinking. This can
easily frustrate a new learner who has not had sufficient exposure and experience in the workplace to realize that
their are rarely 'right or wrong' solutions and answers.
Professionals,
educators and individuals desiring to work in their home nations and train others by being a CEFE Ethics FELLOWSHIP recipient are encouraged to apply for the program offered by the Center for Ethics in Free Enterprise. Fellowships are only available to those who apply for and are accepted into the CEFE
Fellowship Program or who are already professional practitioners of applied ethics. CEFE Fellows devote their time and energy to developing ethics awareness
programs in their communities and in their environment. Sixty-two Fellows are appointed annually.
